The main device is surrounded by inscriptions “VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP,” that translates as “Victoria by the Grace of God King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India.” A design by Sir Thomas Brock.
